In-Office visits

Located at Birthstone Breastfeeding and Wellness Center on Main Street Sylva, receive lactation care in this comfortable, peaceful and welcoming space. In 1-2 hours, lets work together and strategize to help you reach your feeding goals. During this time we will address any issues you may be facing with latching, pain, volume intake and more. We can also discuss a back to work strategy and how to most effectively use your pump while away from your baby.

Follow up visits available until problems resolve.

Virtual visits

Provided on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform, virtual visits are a convenient and simple way to consult with me for prenatal consults, follow ups, questions, and back-to-work planning. While sometimes an in-home visit may be needed instead, this type of visit offers flexibility and options for support, especially in a post-pandemic world!

In-home visits

Whether you gave birth days before and are learning to feed your newborn, needing help with infant weight gain, are experiencing lactation-related breast problems, or any other issues you may be facing, home visits allow families to spend 60-90 mins with an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in the comfort of your own home. During this time I will assess the problem, offer support for your experience, and set forth a plan to help you meet your goals—whatever those may look like! Follow up visits available until problems resolve.

Locations served: Jackson, Macon, Swain, Haywood, Buncombe, Clay, Cherokee, Graham, Polk, Henderson, Madison, and Transylvania counties

Milestone Consults

Milestone Lactation Consults are designed to support you and your baby through key developmental transitions—like starting solids, returning to work, or weaning. Whether you're facing new challenges or simply want to stay on track, this consult offers expert, personalized guidance to help your breastfeeding journey evolve with confidence and ease.

Tiny Tastes

We’ll explore signs of readiness for starting solids, discuss different feeding approaches (purees, baby-led weaning, or a blended method), and walk through how to safely introduce common allergens. You'll leave with practical tips for building a positive relationship with food from the start—and strategies to keep mealtimes enjoyable, responsive, and low-stress for the whole family. Whether you're excited, nervous, or somewhere in between, this consult offers the reassurance and expert guidance you need.

Pumped & Ready!

Confidently return to work with a personalized plan.
This consult includes a custom flange fitting, hands-on pump guidance, milk storage tips, and a realistic pumping schedule tailored to your unique workday. We’ll also talk through how to prepare your baby and caregivers for a smooth, supported transition—so you can return to work feeling informed, empowered, and ready.

Tender Transitions

Gentle, respectful support for winding down your breastfeeding journey.
Whether you’re ready to wean from the breast, bottle, or pump, this consult offers compassionate, evidence-based guidance every step of the way. We’ll create a personalized plan that honors both your baby’s needs and your own—emotionally, physically, and practically. Together, we’ll explore timing, gradual transitions, and how to prevent discomfort or complications like mastitis. We’ll also talk about the emotional side of weaning, offering space to reflect and find closure in this meaningful chapter of your feeding journey.
